Age Limit: Candidates age should between 18-27 years as on 01-01-2015. Age relaxation will be applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates of West Bengal only and Ex-serviceman & Serving Home Guards of West Bengal Police as per rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed Madhyamik or equivalent examination from any other Board recognized by the State Government or the Central Government.

Selection Process: Candidates are selected based on their performance in written examination, test & interview.

Application Fee: Candidates should have to pay Rs.150/-. No application fee for SC/ ST candidates.

Payment through Department of Post (DOP): Candidates may deposit application fees in favour of “West Bengal Police Recruitment Board“ in any of the Post Offices having e-payment facility.The applicants are advised to go to the Post Offices with the pre-printed “India Post Challan Form” containing Application Sl. No., Name of the Applicant etc.The Post Office concerned will give a receipt containing the above mentioned fields against deposit of Application Fees which must be pasted at the space provided for affixing the receipt in the application form (Page–2). Candidates will have to pay a sum of Rs.10/- as Service Charge to the Postal Department against such e-payment of Rs.150/.

Payment through the United Bank of India (UBI): Candidates may deposit application fees through all the branches of the United Bank of India (UBI) across the State. Candidates should deposit the fees after two banking days after generation of Bank Challan. Candidates will have to pay a sum of Rs.10/- as Service Charge to the branch of UBI against such e-payment of Rs.150/.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates can apply online through the website “policewb.gov.in” from 03-08-2015 to 04-09-2015 & send their application (offline) along with relevant documents & recent passport size photograph by post addressed to the Chairman, West Bengal Police Recruitment Board, Araksha Bhaban, 5th Floor, Block– DJ, Sector – II, Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700 091 superscribing on the envelop “Name of the Recruitment, Name of the Post applied for and Application Sl. No” on or before 04-09-2015 by 05:00 PM.
